SANDOVAL x Simple Shui:
I'm excited to continue this series of collaborations with Amanda Gibby Peters, of Simple Shui. Let's explore how our TRANSCEND Set of SACRED and CLEAR an elevate your space, through Amanda's grounded and down to earth perspective of feng shui ...
Let the Shui Begin....
As we look further at what lifestyle means for us, we think about how to elevate, influence and inspire our personal spaces, our sanctuaries, our homes. How to establish new healthy habits and maximize all that we work towards.
Take your space to the next level...
This round we're exploring how to encourage, enhance and elevate your shui, utilizing this Sandoval tool that strikes a balance between practicality and beautiful natural fragrance. You’ll learn how
TRANSCEND's ingredients lift your Shui for the Fall Equinox and the coming season, and how to implement practices to take your space to the next level.
The Shui of TRANSCEND with Amanda....
One of my all-time favorite ways to cleanse and uplift the energy in our space is Sandoval’s Transcend Sacred and Clear Aromatic Incense. These two powder incenses – Sacred and Clear – each possess their own impressive restorative medicine. Not only do they “power wash” and clear away past energy lingering in
a home, they revive that love affair with life energy in a home!
This is why I always keep TRANSCEND within reach and LOVE gifting it!
So, a peek into how I keep company with this power couple:
I put a few small scoops of
SACRED into a selenite bowl, sprinkle a little of the
CLEAR on top, and pinch the powder into a ridge before lighting the powder. Once the incense is lit, all sorts of magic begins….
Sacred has a sweet, woody, dare-I-say creamy scent – one that is a reassuring crowd pleaser and believed (thanks to the Sandalwood) to also be pleasing to the gods. And while we’re talking about the Sandalwood, its properties have been reliably used in rituals for protection and purification. If that’s not enough, Sandalwood is often associated with making wishes come true (so I come ready with intentions when working with it!). Sacred rounds out the home rejuvenation with Palo Santo, which also eliminates negative energy, leaving the opening for positive energy (hello, intentions!) to take its space.
Super specifically, I rely on a little Sacred LOVE whenever there’s a gua needing some OOMPH or one (or all) of us could use a little chakra realignment.
By sprinkling a little Clear on top of the Sacred, you’re lining up New Mexico Desert Sage, California Purple Sage and organic French Lavender and their wealth of ways to welcome a fresh gust of YES into the energetic conversation.
I almost always introduce Lavender as a gentle *mediator* in any home where family disagreements or unwelcome discord seem to be running the ship. Add to its soothing touch, Lavender also has the energetic magic to quiet the ‘negative loop’ sometimes on repeat in our minds, nudging our awareness to the present moment. Someone say “simplicity, now?” With sage in the mix, Clear also mops up any impurities – a cleansing flex that provides a stronger connection to our intuition and that wide realm of unseen helpers here for us.
So, back to why I LOVE having this on hand (and sharing it with others!) – Transcend is my house hygiene 101. With the moxie of Sacred and Clear together, I intentionally show and shower compassion in our space so that we’re feeling it, too. And when that’s the energy we steep in, we’re much more receptive and available to receiving its likeness – synchronicities, blessings and possibilities – in return.
~MICHAEL'S TIPS FOR TRANSCEND~
TIP ONE: Meditation's the name of the game : Any time I need to clear some space, or take a moment to meditate, or even just practice some simple breath work, I take a couple scoops of SACRED and light it up, then while the ember is forming, I sprinkle on some CLEAR. While ding this, I think about how these ingredients- Sandalwood, Palo Santo, Lavender, Desert Sage- Have been used for millenia to clear spaces, and all those who came before me, who practiced similar methods of clearing space and creating scent rituals. Connecting to the collective and dialing into the greater being, putting things into perspective.
TIP TWO : Experiences : When I have a heavy experience, conversation or come home from some place that might have been challenging, I need to clear my head and clear some space. I also need to change up the vibe and add something new - I practice the same burning ritual- This time thinking about what I can learn from what just happened. How I can honor it by processing it ( if even for a sec ) , and I can then release it. A simple ritual to keep things moving, and prevent stagnation.
TIP THREE: Daily punctuation : When getting up in the morning I like to set a vibe, sometimes the house might smell a bit like a sleeping person( I know you know what I mean! ) So in a practical sense, I like to burn a little something to freshen up the air, and PunctuAte the night, By beginning the day with a little incense ritual.
At the end of the day, sometimes it's hard to turn off the work brain, by creating a simple end of day ritual, you can create a soft boundary between the work day and the personal evening, by practicing a quick ritual for yourself. Expressing gratitude for the gifts of the day- both the positive and the negative. We might not always have the brain space or brain power at the end of the day to process everything, but by engaging in a short lighting and burning ritual, we can help put the day behind us and step into our personal space and time.
This time of year, during our Fall Equinox, is a perfect time to embrace these rituals, as we move past our Summer and into our Fall- We can reflect on what's been good, what's been heavy, and how we can take all of that and move into a new season of harvesting the good things that those lessons have taught us.
Natural solutions that elevate your daily lifestyle.
